While serving at Osawatomie State Hospital as acting principal for the school located on campus; psychologist and behavior intervention specialist; he provided direct services in educational programming; anger management; individual counseling; and crisis intervention. He also assisted with group therapy and biofeedback groups. Hargis conducted more than 50 workshops; seminars; and presentations to share his program of successful methods in teaching anger management and problem-solving skills to adolescents.
