POEMS FROM BELGRADE: Early Works
Verse
STEKA VANRA writes short forms in Serbian and English, and has won several international poetry awards, including first place on the poetry site www.gspoetry.com for his second poem in English “Needs”.

Steka lives around the world and far away and yet, his words struck in close to my heart. We speak different languages and yet, I understood his message. Our experiences are very different and exactly the same. His poems are about the human condition knowing love, sorrow, suffering, joy, and the sounds of children laughing. These poems are not lost in translation but rather find connection and reach across great distances to touch on loss, war, power and greed. He writes about friends. Anyone would be very fortunate to count this poet as one.
Steka Vanra is from Belgrade, Serbia. He publishes short forms in both Serbian and English. “About every part of my life can be written in a book. I never lose time drinking, being drugged, gambling, watching TV or playing games because I always have something to do or somewhere to go. Even when I have nothing to do I spend time reading. I think ten average lives can be like my single life. Take care and enjoy the enclosed poems.
