MARY FRANCES SPADE is a poet, songwriter, and native Kansan, currently living in Lawrence, Kansas, with her husband, Ken. She is also a retired hair stylist and floral designer, but her first love has always been writing poetry, especially fun poems she shared with her three grandchildren, Zach, Katie and Ryan. She hopes this book helps to inspire children’s creativity and imagination and believes in every child’s ability to create their very own “Oodle Doodle.”
ILLUSTRATOR JERRI KEMBLE
JERRI KEMBLE has spent 38 magical years in education as a teacher, school counselor, principal, and superintendent. She believes in the power of imagination, kindness, and helping kids become the best version of themselves. When she’s not working with schools or recording her podcast, you’ll find her doing one of her favorite things—drawing and doodling! Oodle Doodle is a celebration of that love, and she hopes it inspires every reader to create, play, and believe in the wonder of what’s possible.
